Vision is vital, but even the most motivated people (and especially this girl 😉) don’t jump out of bed every morning overflowing with confidence and drive. Life is hard, and it is normal to get down.
Questions start to rise: am I strong enough for this? Why didn’t anyone tell me it would be this hard? How do I keep building a dream when I am so tired? Will I ever conquer this sin? Will things ever work out the way I hope?
Many times our biggest obstacle is that we think we have to make it alone. We have to “grow up”, “forge ahead”, and “pull ourselves together.” Everything in the world tells us to hustle harder, that we just need to be more or better. As if the work isn’t hard enough, the message of “you can do it” sometimes makes it even more overwhelming.
The real truth is that even when times are good, God is asking us to lean on Him. We don’t have to be super soldiers; the Holy Spirit is patiently and lovingly waiting for you to let him take some of the burden so He can guide us into victory.
